Word of the Week #7

I was sitting at my computer and I was thinking how I hadn't come across any words that were unfamiliar to me when suddenly I found one in an article on AOL about indoor tanning.

In an article titled "The Truth About Tanning Beds" by Stephanie Tweito Jacob, Jacob starts her first sentence by saying

"Although tanning beds were labeled 'carcinogenic' for humans by the International Agency for Research of Cancer..."

For those individuals like me who have no idea what that is, carcinogenic or carcinogen (n) is defined by dictionary.com as being any substance or agent that tends to produce cancer.

Example:
Tanning indoors or outdoors is a carcinogen.

  1. Tanning isn't a carcinogen; sunlight is.

Please come up with a sentence of your own that isn't just a rephrasing of the original sentence.
