"Is the Bible more violent than the Quran?" was the title of the interview that I listened to on "All Things Considered". Scholar Philip Jenkins compares certain versus in the Quran to those in the Bible and said that scriptures in the Bible were more violent and bloody than those in the Quran. He goes on to read other portions of the Bible and the Quran to help listeners understand his statement.

The questions asked seemed to be very basic informational questions. There was more talking on the interviewee's part rather than the interviewer. The interviewee was asked to describe such things as the difference between Jihad, which is legal warfare and Irjaf, terrorism.

The relationship between the interviewee and the interviewer was not clearly defined but it seems to be a neutral interview. There were no invasive questions asked and those interviewee seemed to be rather informed and educated on the subject matter.

There was definitely ways to go about getting information with out offending the interviewee and that it was I noticed about this in particular interview especially with such a touchy subject.

  1. Good as far as it goes, but it's got too much passive voice ("there was") and I'd like a little more information. For example, who was the interviewer?

    It's verses, not versus.

    Awkward/unclear phrases:
    * "those interviewee seemed to be rather informed..."
    * "that it was I noticed about this ..."
